Dorothy Reynold's "Marriage Proposal" Lemon Squares

Crust : 1 C flour

1/2 C butter

1/4 C sugar

pinch of Salt

Custard: 1 1/2C sugar

3 tablespoon flour

1/4 + 1/8 tsp baking powder

4 1/2 tablespoon juice of lemon + rind

3 beaten eggs

Crust: Blend well and press into unbuttered 9" x 9" pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Custard: Mix well and pour over bottom layer. Bake 350 for 25 minutes.

Sprinkle with icing sugar and cut when cool.

Freezes well. ENJOY!!!
