Welcome to the website of the Muskoka Concert Band.

On Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m., the Muskoka Concert Band is presenting a concert to honour former band members and conductors. The Band made up of musicians from across Muskoka held their first rehearsal in 1959 and has played continuously since then.

Throughout the last fifty years, many talented musicians have freely dedicated their time and energy and as a result the Muskoka Concert Band is one of the finest in the Province.

At present, we have a list of ninety former members and all of the Conductors who have been a part of the Band’s history. It is hoped that all will be able to attend the concert and receive the recognition that they so justly deserve.

The concert is being held in Gravenhurst at the Grace and Speed Marine Museum which is located on Muskoka Bay.  A Social Hour will follow the concert and bandsmen and guests will be able to look at the materials and newspaper accounts about the band that have been preserved in our archives.

Conductor Neil Barlow has put together an excellent program that will range from classical to Broadway favorites.

The Band will also be recognizing two Gravenhurst residents who have gone to great lengths to support the Band throughout the years, Mr. Fred Schulz and Mr. Mark Clairmont.
